I love berries. All berries. And I am so happy to have two – yes TWO berry bowls!
What’s a berry bowl? It’s basically a serving colander with a matching plate to catch any water that may drip off of the berries after you wash them. So wash the berries, add to berry bowl and put out for guests (or for yourself!) The plate catches the drips and never a soggy berry at the bottom of the bowl again! Keeps moisture to a bare minimum helping to keep your berries fresh.
The two I have were handmade by potters. The one above was from an artisan fair in NYC and my other beautiful bowl shown below, was made by a pair of potters in New Hampshire, Jessica and Larry of Fire Pond Pottery, and I do believe they take custom orders if they haven’t a bowl in stock! There are some beautiful berry bowls on Etsy too!
Although the ceramic ones are my favorites, you can also find plastic ones.
